We believe our cabin is a little special, its location and weather pattern, we think is superb, when the summer heat is oppressive Cloudcroft is the place to be, with its average 75 degree daytime temperature . The wildlife is prolific with bears, elk, chipmunks, raccoons, many types of birds feed outside the large viewing window and if your very lucky you may even spot a mountain lion!

The Home was built  buy us in '95 and is 4 miles from the village of Cloudcroft on the Sunspot scenic byway.

NEW in 2006:

Leather furniture,new appliances, new carpets and wood floors. Also a new  enlarged redwood deck with BBQ house.

NEW in 2007:

40"HD/LCD ,TV + Surround sound DVD Home theater+ New dining area.

It's set on approximately one and a half acres in a secluded valley and surrounded by National forest.

With sun on the deck all day and with it's very quiet position it's hard not to enjoy yourself.

The property has good access although 4x4/Chains advisable in winter.

The large 24x20 living area is a great place to "hangout".

There is a double bedroom on the ground floor and the upper 24x16 bedroom has a small office area,

 all with spectacular views.

The extra large Kitchen is very well equipped with all modern equipment + entertainment area

 Dishwasher, large fridge freezer, etc etc..

NEW ,06 main deck of the property now has a wonderful hot tub/Hydro massage, &BBQ house

to  enjoy those fabulous New Mexican Skies

 A great BBQ machine + chimania

Winter wonderland...

The snow play area where you can rent snowmobiles  and go "tubing" it's just two minutes away

 Great off road riding starts at the door, including the 40+ mile "rim trail".AND WE INCLUDE 2 AS NEW YAMAHA MACHINES  AND AN ALLOY TILT TRAILER

This is also a very popular hiking trail which leads to the Sunspot observatory.

Cross country skiing trails cover the mountain.

The Lodge hotel "online" and its spectacular golf course is just a few minutes drive, others are within 10 minutes drive.

White Sands and the "trinity site", Carlsbad Caverns,

Las Cruses & Roswell are all within easy reach.

Ski Apache, is around 40 miles,

with the village of Ruidoso & its many and varied restaurants & shops nearby,

The horse racing at Ruidoso downs is a highlight.

 Alamogordo has a small airport  with a gliding club & private planes (fly in?).

In Spring, Summer & Autumn Cyclists & Hikers gather on the Sunspot byway and enjoy hundreds of miles of great riding/walking with awesome views over the white sands basin.

Off road riding at it's best,  4x4/motorcycle/snowmobile/mountain bike's,

Note: the Lodge Cloudcroft has Murder mystery weekends,

these are very popular and you will need to book.

Down the mountain The ZOO and steam train depot are well worth a visit and the Imax theater is nearby

A trip "over the border" to Mexico can be done in around two hours.
